Pilgrims from serviced countries register for Hajj directly — and only — on hajj.nusuk.sa. You create a free account with your email, upload a passport scan and a strict 200×200 photo, complete the application, wait for verification, then fund an e-wallet and book a package when sales open. Registration is free; you pay only for the package itself.
Who registers on hajj.nusuk.sa
Nusuk Hajj is Saudi Arabia's direct Hajj programme for countries without a traditional national Hajj mission — the USA, Canada, the UK, most of Europe, Australia and other serviced countries designated each season. If that's you, this platform is the only lawful route to a Hajj visa: the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is explicit that no intermediaries, external offices or third parties are authorized to register for you.
That warning matters. Every season, pilgrims lose money to "agents" who promise guaranteed spots or ask for private registration fees. The real process is the one below — done by you, in your own account. (If you'd like an expert on a video call while you do it, that's exactly the service we offer — but the account is always yours.)
What you need before you start
- A passport valid for at least six months beyond your return date.
- An email address you can open right now — the platform sends one-time codes at sign-up and at every login.
- A compliant photo — 200×200 pixels, pure white background, small file size. This is the single most common stumbling block; see our photo guide.
- Proof of residence — a residency card, work visa, employment contract, lease or property document.
- Basic travel intentions — expected arrival date, length of stay, travel method (you can estimate).
Create your account
- Go to hajj.nusuk.sa and select Start Registration.
- Choose your country of residence from the serviced-countries list and confirm it with the checkbox.
- Enter your email, agree to the terms and privacy policy, and select Create Account.
- Type the one-time code (OTP) emailed to you. Nothing arriving? Check spam, then use Resend once the timer allows.
- Set your password. It needs at least 8 characters, one uppercase and one lowercase letter, a number and a special character (@#$%*&).
Documents & application
Signed in, you'll work through a series of screens. Take them in order and use Save & Continue Later freely:
- Passport scan. A clear, flat, glare-free image of the photo page (commonly around 800×400 pixels and under 1 MB), with the two machine-readable lines at the bottom fully visible.
- Personal photo. The strict one — 200×200 pixels, pure white background, commonly under 18 KB. A rejection here blocks everything; fix it in minutes with NusukPhotos.
- Personal information. The portal reads your passport and pre-fills your details. Check every field against the passport, correct errors, then confirm accuracy.
- Proof of residence. Upload one accepted document (residency card, work visa, employment contract, lease or property record).
- Contact details. Mobile number, address, social status, an emergency contact and your nearest embassy.
- Occupational details. Occupation, employer, sector.
- Arrival details. Expected entry date, duration of stay, travel method.
- Background details. Previous Saudi visas, relatives in the Kingdom, other nationalities, past travel.
- Accessibility & health. Declare wheelchair access, Braille or sign-language needs, plus conditions like diabetes, blood pressure, heart conditions or asthma, and any allergies. Answer honestly — this shapes the support you receive during Hajj.
- Summary & submit. Review everything, tick the consents (data use, tentative approval, vaccination certificate, terms) and select Submit, then Confirm Submission.
Verification & what your status means
After submission, My Profile shows one of three states:
- Under Verification — the authorities are reviewing your application. This takes from about 24 hours to several weeks, depending on volume.
- Verified — you're through, and category selection unlocks.
- Rejected — the reason arrives by email (a non-compliant photo is the classic). Fix it and you return to Under Verification.
Adding family members
One account — the admin — can manage the whole family's applications, packages and payments (commonly up to seven members plus yourself; the exact limit can vary by season). For each member: Add a new family member → their email → relationship → country of residence. They receive a one-time code to activate, then you complete their documents and application exactly as your own.
yourname+mother@example.com delivers to your own inbox but
counts as a distinct address. Each member can also later be given control of their own
application via Transfer Authority, or detached with
Delink.
Categories & the e-wallet
Once verified, two preparation steps decide how smooth package day is:
- Mark a preferred category. Luxury (5-star hotels in Makkah and Madinah, ~10 days), Premium (4-star, ~10 days) or Standard (3-star or residential, ~14 days). Note whether a package is shifting (hotel changes between phases) or non-shifting.
- Activate and fund your e-wallet. Top up by credit card (instant, small processing fee) or bank transfer to the personal Nusuk IBAN shown to you — keep that IBAN confidential. International transfers can take up to about ten business days, so fund early, before sales open. Refund withdrawals go back to the original payment method, minus a small processing fee.
Booking a package
- When sales open for your country, use Filter Packages — category, distance from the Haram, Mina camp zone, provider, duration, price.
- Open View Details and read everything: accommodation, Mashair camps, transportation, what's included, what's excluded, what costs extra.
- Read the cancellation policy before you pay. Policies differ per package.
- Select Configure, set your Makkah and Madinah preferences and any flight options, and pay from your wallet.
- Your wallet balance must cover the full price — there is no pay-later.
- Every group member must be verified before booking.
- Confirmation can take up to five minutes — don't refresh-panic.
Common problems (and what actually fixes them)
| Symptom | Usual cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Photo rejected repeatedly | Off-white background, shadows, wrong dimensions or file too large | Match the exact specs — see the photo guide or fix it in minutes with NusukPhotos |
| OTP never arrives | Spam filtering or delayed delivery | Check spam, whitelist the sender, use Resend once the timer allows; avoid firewalled work addresses |
| Card payment declined | Bank fraud-blocks the international charge | Pre-authorise with your bank or split into smaller top-ups |
| Stuck at Under Verification | Normal queue — up to several weeks in peak periods | Wait it out; only chase support if a rejection email asked for a fix you've already made |
| Wanted package gone in minutes | Wallet wasn't funded or members weren't verified in advance | Complete verification and fund the wallet before sales open |

Frequently asked questions
Is registering on hajj.nusuk.sa free?
Yes. Creating an account and submitting your application costs nothing. You only pay when you actually book a Hajj package — and payment happens only inside the platform, from your Nusuk e-wallet. Anyone charging you a "registration fee" for the platform itself is charging for assistance (as we do, openly) or scamming you.
Which countries register through Nusuk Hajj?
Nusuk Hajj is the direct route for pilgrims from serviced countries without a traditional national Hajj mission — including the USA, Canada, the UK, most of Europe and Australia. The list is set each season, so check the "Serviced Countries" list on hajj.nusuk.sa for the current one.
Does registering guarantee I will perform Hajj?
No — the platform itself says registration does not mean acceptance. Demand exceeds supply, packages sell out, and final approval rests with the Saudi authorities. What you control is being verified, funded and ready the moment packages open.
How long does verification take?
Anywhere from about 24 hours to several weeks, depending on volume. If your status is "Rejected", the email explains why — fix the issue and you return to "Under Verification". This is why registering early matters.
When does registration open for the next Hajj?
Registration typically opens in the autumn before the season — for Hajj 2026 it opened on 7 October 2025. For the next season, watch hajj.nusuk.sa (and sign in occasionally: phases like package sales are announced inside the platform).
